Over 100,000 horses are sent to slaughter each year. This number doesn't begin to cover the number of horses who are neglected, abused, or picked up by animal control.

In other words, we have a problem with unwanted horses.

Whatcom Horses In Need focuses primarily on horses who have been seized by the Whatcom Humane Society in animal cruelty cases, or horses who have been surrendered to their care. We also reach out to owners who find themselves in a place where they can no longer care for their horses, helping them attempt to find a new home or cover basic needs if necessary.

Your financial contribution can prevent a horse from becoming another statistic. Donations will help with hay, farrier, and vet expenses.

 

It is true that you cannot save them all. But please consider changing the life of one.
